Our Vision

The students at Sope Creek Elementary School are high-achieving learners who are prepared to graduate college and career ready. As 21st Century leaders, they are equipped for the challenges, responsibilities, and contributions of their global generation. All students participate in a rigorous curriculum which encourages personal growth, leadership, stewardship, and responsibility for ethical behavior. The comprehensive school counseling program vigorously supports student achievement and forges partnerships with parents, staff, and community stakeholders who are passionate about both life-long learning and each child's potential to succeed at the highest level. Our students are prepared to make a significant difference in the lives of others in their communities. Our vision for students is based on the beliefs that:

Our Mission

The mission of the school counseling program at Sope Creek Elementary School is to provide a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students. In alignment with the missions of Sope Creek Elementary School, the Cobb County School District, and the Georgia Department of Education, we design and implement a program which vigorously promotes student achievement, success, and ethical behavior. In collaboration with other educators, parents or guardians, and the community, school counselors support the learning environment and nurture student growth. We are committed to preparing students to meet the diverse challenges of their global generation. The primary focus of our mission is to actualize our vision and ensure that all students at Sope Creek Elementary School  have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest levels as productive memembers of a diverse community. The counselors are committed to supporting the Sope Creek Elementary School "Focus Areas and Priorities" as outlined in the School Strategic Plan.
